We have two courses, the long course is 150 km with a height of 2083 m, it starts  from the scenic boardwalk of Manta, passing through the beautiful beach of Santa Marianita, Ligüiqui, the Pacoche Forest, San Lorenzo and the Ruta del Spondilus until Puerto Cayo and the return will be through the mountains.

The medium course with approximately 75 km, is as challenging as the long course, but with less climbing, with a climb of 1289 m, this course also starts from the scenic Manta boardwalk, passes through San Mateo, reaching the Pacoche Forest, passing through Ligüiqui and returning through Puerto del Aromo to Manta. This course will start together with the long course riders, in which there will be a spectacular ceremony.

Long & Medium Course

LONG COURSE IS A COMPETITION: Only the finishers of the long course are eligible for category rankings and Overall and Podium awards. If you want to race and be ranked in your category, you must complete the long course. Top 10% of finishers in each age group earn a spot in the Qualifier Corral at every GFNY World event.

MEDIUM COURSE IS NOT A COMPETITION: The riders of the 50 miles medium course will be provided their start-to-finish time, but will not be ranked by finish time. All finish times will be listed in alphabetical order.

GFNY Coaching - GFNY Manta Course Strategy

With race day at GFNY Ecuador approaching, it’s time to get familiar with the course and start thinking about how you’ll tackle race day. It’s always worth some time to learn a bit about the race course you’ll be taking on, and prepare yourself mentally for the challenges to come. Strategy, nutrition, and pacing are all important concerns on race day, but they can only be done with proper knowledge of the course.
